Another layout from Changi Airport

This layout also features photos taken in Changi airport – apparently they have the most amazing gardens and ponds set up, so it’s quite a beautiful place. 

I love how layouts like this make me feel like I’ve been to a place that I’ve never ever even dreamed about visiting! The paper featured in this layout is Bo Bunny Garden Girl.

Changi Airport

Once again, Pieta’s has scrapped some more of her travel photos. 

This first layout features a happy snap from a photobooth at Changi airport, Singapore  - we actually got this photo as an email which was a nice surprise when we knew that Pieta was off on holidays! 

Fun, happy snaps make for great layouts, and great memories too!

More Valentine's Cards!

Two of the cards that Leena made were a little more detailed than the others - the first uses acetate to make a "window" through the card.  She used two birds from the collectibles pack, and stuck one on each side of the window to make it look more realistic - this also helps to hide the adhesive! Sneaky!
Leena used the Kaisercraft Scallop frames wood flourishes as well, and I just love how it turned out!

This is the inside view, held over the official shop lolly jar.  We love our jelly beans! :)
Seriously though, I wanted to show you that you actually can see through the card.  And to show off how many jelly beans we have :).
The second card (and my favourite!!!) uses a fancy fold to add loads of dimension. 

These types of cards are MADE to be displayed.  By layering the embellishments on the different peaks of the card, it creates a very three dimensional effect, and affords depth that you wouldn't normally be able to create on a standard fold card. 
Have a shot at it - it's easier than it looks!

Leena's Valentine's Day Cards

With Valentine's day just around the corner, perhaps you're thinking about making a card for your beloved (or for someone you secretly admire... ooooooooer!
Leena created some gorgeous cards using the Sweet Nothings collection - most of the elements that she used here are from the Collectibles pack - it's a great way to layer cards without all the fussy cutting!

 Cherubs, lovehearts and lace... so pretty!

 The text on this one says "on the wings of a snow white dove..." Gold pen doesn't photograph easily! :)

Nepal Layout

This is another of Pieta’s layouts – this time featuring a beautiful photo of the Royal Palace in Kathmandu, Nepal. 

So simple, yet effective! - again, using Simple Stories - Destinations papers.

Travel Bug!

One of our lovely design team members, Pieta, is a bit of a traveller.  She recently did this gorgeous layout featuring some of the photos she took on a recent trip. 

The papers she used here are the Simple Stories – Destinations collection, which is fantastic for documenting  stories about travel!  They make it really easy to put a page together, with easy to use blocks of various sizes. 

She also used black soot crackle paint to accent the frames of her photos – and it looks brilliant!

On the Move!

Kaisercraft's "On the move" collection is a great collection for scrapping photos of blokes!
I find making masculine cards quite a challenge, so when I sat down with this collection to try and make a card for my nephew, I was surprised at how grown up the cards turned out!
And these three cards seriously took me 15 minutes all up! Great for building up your supply of handmade cards!
I used the sticker sheet, a sheet of "Diesel" paper from the On the Move collection, cream puff cardstock, a scrap of self adhesive metal (which you could switch for silver cardstock) and some clear plastic packaging.
Easy, quick, and I've still got lots of product left to play with! :)
